The primary role of a Speech Language Pathologist at JayCare is to address speech and language delays, oral motor concerns, fluency or sound production problems.
The care provided by a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist is fundamental to maximize communication improvement and improving their quality of life.
Therapists sometimes also address swallowing and chewing difficulties as related to feeding.
The most important years for improving communication skills in children are ages birth to five. Brain development is most crucial during these years, so a developmentally-delayed child will benefit the most from an early intervention Speech Language pathologist.
As a Speech language Pathologist at Jaycare, you should expect to:
- Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child's specific developmental goals.
- Provide various strategies to family members or caregivers and facilitate active involvement to carry-over in day-to-day activity.
- Provide services in different settings such as homes, daycares, centers, or other community settings.
- Ensure that progress is evident and that family members or caregivers are active participants in early intervention through addressing specific goals and communicating with the entire team.
Requirements:
- PA Speech Therapy (SLP) license
- Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
Pay
$95.00 - $110.00 per hour
Annual salary options available
JayCare Therapy is currently offering Speech Therapists an additional $10 per hour for all bilingual cases.
We will build your caseload according to your areas and times of availability. We are looking for full time, part time, or even just one day a week. We will customize your caseload to meet your geographic and scheduling preferences. We are open to hiring Speech Therapists with little or no experience in the field, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training. This is a wonderful opportunity with room for growth within the organization.
